Donny van de Beek's goal at the 15th minute, shot in an unexpexted direction near Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, put Ajax to an advantage for the second leg of the semi-final. Spurs find much difficulty to adapt without Son Heung-min, who is suspended for getting 3 yellow cards, and their burden is way higher after defender Jan Vertonghen suffered an injury in collision with Ajax goalkeeper Onana in the first half. Vertonghen's problem raised issues about his participation after he was allowed to continue, and at last had to be brought by two members of the Spurs staff as he left the field. Tottenham tried to pressure Ajax after the break with plenty of possession, but their winning possession results in nothing and instead, it was Ajax whoalmost scored a second goal when David Neres struck the inside of the post with Lloris motionless. Ajax is now leading and Spurs need to make a comeback in the second leg to prevent being eliminated to the final and prevent Ajax facing ei...
